“It All Started with One Student in a Public Park”
“When the world slowed down during lockdown, I felt called to create something
meaningful. Born during the COVID lockdown as a simple backyard initiative. I started
with one student in a local public park — just a ball, some cones, and a whole lot of
passion. Week by week, more kids joined. What began as a single session quickly
grew into multiple sessions, more locations, and a growing community of young
players and parents who believed in the vision.
Today, ZAPLAYS proudly coaches over 100 children across several locations in
Durban. But at its core, nothing has changed — we’re still about helping kids fall in love
with soccer, grow in confidence, and become the best versions of themselves through
play.”

From our Mini Zappers (Ages 3–5) to our Mega Zappers (12+), every program is
thoughtfully designed to match each child’s stage of development, blending
skill-building, teamwork, and character development.
